Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Direct all daily depot activities, ensuring maximum throughput, sorting accuracy, and strict adherence to provincial recycling standards.

  • Team Performance & Culture: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of Supervisors and Operations Associates. You are responsible for scheduling, performance reviews, and fostering a culture of accountability and safety.

  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure the depot remains in full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a pristine and organized facility.

Qualifications

  • Proven Leadership: 3+ years of management experience, preferably in logistics, manufacturing, retail, or high-volume operations.

  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of HR management, labour optimization, and operational efficiency.

  • Systems Proficiency: Comfortable using technology and data (such as advanced spreadsheets or management software) to track performance and automate reporting.

  • Problem Solver: Ability to think on your feet and resolve equipment, staffing, or logistical challenges in real-time.

  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a diverse workforce and report effectively to ownership.

Job Opportunity: Operations Associate (Bottle Sorter - 3 positions)

As an Operations Associate, you will be responsible for the rapid sorting and processing of recyclable materials. You will work directly under the guidance of our Supervisors and the General Manager to meet daily production goals and maintain a clean, organized facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Precision Sorting: Efficiently identify and categorize various beverage containers by material, size, and brand.

  • Quality Control: Ensure all materials meet processing standards and are free of contaminants.

  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with Supervisors to manage workflow during peak hours.

  • Inventory Prep: Securely pack and palletize sorted materials for transport.

  • Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a safe, tidy workspace and follow all provincial handling protocols.
